QUOTE "The whole fiasco with the 3 am bar closing with the cost paid by taxpayers is just beyond bizarre!" -- It's time for council to put on their "Big boy/girl pants" & DEMAND that the 2 bars which are benefiting from staying open for the extra hours MUST pay-up. The tax payer money wasted on these 2 bars could & should be used for our School Resource Officers & the hiring of more police officers. It's due time to get "Priorities straightened out in this city. Protecting our children & our citizens should be MORE IMPORTANT than 2 downtown bars making more money. Enough with the "Special Interest"!

Let's see: Your stormwater fee goes up, your solid waste fee goes up (in spite of lousy service), your FSA goes up and the value of your home goes up!

That very simply translates to your taxes going up!

The CM is a JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What about the mega bucks the CM is spending on all the new city vehicles!!!

Cut back on that or simply stop it for at least a year! Looks like he has replaced just about all the vehicles in the city fleet!

We definitely need more code enforcement officers! We definitely need more strength in our codes and with penalties! The City is looking blighted for sure!

The CM's priorities are really messed up! The Mayor and Council need to rein him and then give him the boot!

The whole fiasco with the 3 am bar closing with the cost paid by taxpayers is just beyond bizarre!

The CM and Mayor and Council need to get their act together and quickly!

QUOTE "I want to see us start budgeting for sidewalks instead of using just grants. We're a big city," Cosden said. "I'll see that & I'll raise you streetlights," CM David Stokes said. "We have kids walking to school in the dark. We have $100,000 budgeted for lights. Can't we take some money out of paving + into lights?" -- This is the same council that had NO problems having the taxpayers pay for the extra police presence at 2 bars in the CRA district that cried until they were permitted to remain open until 3AM, all on the tax payers bill. That money could have been better used toward streetlights + sidewalks.
