nbntz -- THIS is precisely why I say that our present system is broken ! ! !

First, We need to do away with ALL elected Pols : They are NOT needed in this Technical Age with easy communication of all sorts.

Second, Let any Significant Interested Party (SIP), including the voters, propose legislation.

Third, Let the voters accept or reject said legislation -- Ten pages MAX.

Fourth, You want to put money into politics ? ? -- Then you must SHARE it equally among all SIPs -- That includes, of course, OPPONENTS ! ! !

Since this proposal is FAIR TO ALL, it will be VEHEMENTLY OPPOSED by the GoPer-Cons ! ! !

No you don't count! And you never will until you can match and or exceed the money given to the politicians that dutifully ignore the problem caused by their sponsors. Even then, they will just play both sides of the argument so they can double dip!
