SUGGESTION to The BREEZE. Why don't you pose the following question to the candidates running for our City Government. QUOTE ""Do you believe that Public Officials should get a pass when it comes to BREAKING THE LAW?"" - I would also love for someone to ask that same question during Citizens Input to our current 8 seated council members and watch a certain someone squirm. Then we will see who has No Ballz.

twt had the gall to write QUOTE "Public Officials should get a pass when it comes to BREAKING THE LAW. He somehow considers it "A Perk". - SHAME ON YOU!!! -- PLS, Do share with us, how many perks have you gotten???? QUESTION: How many years should it take before receiving a "City Pension"??? Does 3 seem logical to you????? NOT to me it doesn't!!!! I heard that getting family members hired is also a perk. You really are despicable!!

Public Officials should get a pass when it comes to breaking the law. What the heck, they are Public Officials. Low pay, meager benefits, long hours...YES, there should be some perks for serving the public. It's the least we can do for these hard working public servants.

I am pleased to say that I had already stated this outcome. What a degenerate this government scab is. Now on top of being a drunk and degenerate he will have the gall to walk with a over blown pension and a payout from the drop program close to 700K.

Government workers, Local, County, State and Federal are the biggest terrorists we face in 2017.

The theft is monumental.

Grumpy19 - You know the deal. They made him an offer that he simply couldn't refuse. "Retire now or risk losing your pension". Wasn't that long ago that Retzer retired from the Fire Department while under investigation? People should be asking why "Public Officials" in Cape Coral get a pass when it comes to breaking the law.

Sorry, but the city is not doing the right thing IMHO. He should be suspended until his case is adjudicated. If found guilty he should be fired with no pension. He is a public official who seemingly broke the law. Shame on him and shame on the city manager because he will be rewarded with an expensive city pension package.
