I am still waiting for someone from the city to step up and tell us WHO from the city first decided that the city would be better at running the electric than LCEC. So far Connie has been silent.

Yup, they announce "Good news! We aren't screwing you over anymore, CC residents! Don't you just love us for being so good to you?

Another great editorial, Breeze. I have to hand it to you, you've been hitting the nails squarely on the heads recently. I wish more CC residents paid attention.

None of these expenditures would have been necessary had it not been for the current City Council voting for the continuation of this sophomoric and ludicrous posture. The council members who voted for the continuation of this debacle MUST BE VOTED OUT OF OFFICE. They have shown No Ability to govern sensibly.

QUOTE "to put things into perspective, it took less than 30 days for LCEC and Lee County to reach an agreement on a first-ever franchise agreement in 2014." - Unfortunately, our current City Manager & current council allowed this charade to continue for over a year, all the while with the meter ticking, unnecessarily costing the taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars. Talk about wasting money!! The attorneys for both sides are laughing all the way to the bank.
