Honoring our Military is very important. But let us not mix up Memorial Day and it's significance with Armed Forces Day OR Veteran's Day. Armed Forces Day--we honor ACTIVE/Reservists Military. Memorial Day--formerly known as Decoration Day, as the day we honor those fallen military in the time of hostility. Veteran's Day is the day to honor FORMER military members. I appreciate the comment to thank families, but I am sorry, it is NOT the day to thank me, or my son. It is the day to offer love and support and gratitude to the fallen heroes and the Gold Star Families. We must never forget this day or the importance of any of the days.

Never forget! All gave some & some gave all. Freedom doesn't come for free. Heavy prices were paid by many. If you cross paths this weekend with a veteran and/or a family member whose son's, daughter's, dad's, mom's & grandparents are/were away serving, take a minute to thank them for their families services + for their sacrifices. May God Bless all of them!
