What exactly are they going to do with this Development. I thought they solved the Bimini question When the put THE BEACH IN. That no body uses that was the most idiotic idea ever a beach on a thorough fare canal, Now they are going to waste more money, the question here is who is going to make the money on this project and how are they connected to the city council/Major. This will be a total disaster and all that will happen is tax payer money will evaporate and they'll ad an other assessment to pay for it. Cause folks that is where they plan to waste the "Infrastructure" part of the fire assessment. It must stop, Remove the taxing/assessing authority from the city and give it back to the citizens, or this idiocy will continue.

I have to agree that changing the speed limits over the objections of the CCPD, public works and the organization that we paid to do traffic studies. I've seen this change before and it didn't change any driving speeds on the roads affected. My feelings now are, this council now has the FSA money and can't wait to waste it on stupid things.

On the surface, this project is good. Problem from day 1 IMHO is the expenditure of taxpayer dollars for these studies. Now they will sit down with the major property holders to talk about what they, the property holder want to see there. What is really needed is a firm commitment from these people on development according to the plan and financing in the bank for the whole project. No tax dollars should be spent further. The city may get a few more tax dollars out of this, but at what cost initially? Now I am questioning why this Mayor is so worried about what the snowbirds think or want. She really needs to be more concerned with those that are permanent year round residents. We are the ones that will be most impacted by this whole project.

Typical Breeze reporting. How about the nanny council's decision to pass a feel good ordinance in the face of their paid experts advice to leave the speed limit alone. Reducing it to 25 from 30 was once again Burch's big mouth idea. Well we will just ignore it anyway. This is one useless council. Bimini Basin is another huge waste of money. One thing about it Nesta won't have to worry about it neither will the other three since they will be gone at the next election. Hopefully the CM will be gone also. Unions snuck them on, rest of the citizens will kick them off and their idiotic ideas.
