There has been a great deal of debate about the city of Cape Coral’s relatively new fire services “assessment....

I stand corrected on my figure of 25% cost reduction of fuel. A competing print media published today February 1, 2015 the DECREASE in cost is actually 45%

Where is the savings to the Cape Coral operating budget? Plus remember we are not doing any capital improvement projects because we did not have the money?

Anyone noticed the proposed change in the organizational chart being considered by Lee County?

Funny doubling up of departments and responsibilities and there is NO CHANGE IN THE AMOUNT OF EXPENDED TAX DOLLARS!!!

CAPE CORAL, FL. reorganizes and it costs more tax dollars.

Maybe City Manager(?) John Szerlag needs to put his chair next to the Lee County Manager's chair and take copious notes.

Szerlad is not worth a tinker's damn.

The only difference you will see is more money going into city workers pockets. This was just a union tax.

Still no answer from the city council as to why $6.5 million bought 110 linear miles of residential repaved roads and how it only bought 85 linear miles this past year. Also 3 budgets ago Szerlag's first after Gary King was let go for NO CAUSE. Cape Coral piggy backed on a state contract with Punta Gordo, Fl. a compound to be mixed into resurface material as a harder at 69 cents a pound. They bought tons. Where is the cost savings where is the linear miles? Then Szerlag put out a budget with NO $6.5 million for road repaving. That was his 1st true budget and not submitting Gary King's from the year before. The council legitimized a fraud!

Hmmm. Cost of fuel is down how much 25%! Cost of undersurface, oil, and top surface for roads down how much?

Where is the gas tax dollars brought in from prior to the drop of oil prices and gas/deisil fuel.

State contracts for fuel were in before the CC budget and no adjustment down was ever built in.

No adjustment on this budget, prior budgets, or the future budgets!

Cape Coral, Fl. is as big a fraud as the banks and wall street.

In a city that consistently issues bonds on a future that does not ever appear I would bet there is plenty of pay to play money being shelled out. Perfect example Utility project in Jefferson, Al. and the 932 million settled out of court by J P Morgan!
