They didn't need to have a low publicized special meeting to discuss this. this was done this way so people wouldn't show up and keep them up all night. don't forget, at a recent council meeting the Mayor whined about working 2 jobs and it gave the impression that she didn't want anything to interfere with her 2 jobs. She ran for Mayor and won. Did she not know that the office comes with big responsibility to the residents? Did she not know that issues would come up that require a lot of discussion? If she can't stay for long, properly advertised meetings, she should resign. Why is there not a regular council meeting next Monday? It's not a holiday nor are they on hiatus, which I think is ridiculous. Why do they need a vacation now?

No way is the city capable of pulling this off based on the way the water and sewer is run. we the ratepayers are the owners of the co=op an are already assessed the 3% franchise fee and now the 7% public service fee. where will the city get the tens of millions to but the infrastructure another assessment? Remember the residents of the city who pay electric bill already own the LCEC to let politicians have control will inevitably be costly to the people
