And the buffoons at the city council strike again. Steve Pohlman, really, is there anything this cast of clowns can get right? This is going to blow up in their collective faces and we are going to all be paying the bills for a bunch of drunks wandering around downtown. But, at least there will be 30K to spread around to the police and fire unions. That is all that matters.

I attended this celebration before. I like it, but there are some issues with it. why spend money for VIP areas? Everyone should be treated equal in the celebration of our nation. Another problem that I see now is, what happens when the revenue doesn't meet expectations? I understand that the shortfall will come out of the Parks and Recreation budget. If that happens. What will be cut to pay that shortfall? Why not approach Fort Myers to help pay for this? they do benefit from it. Fords Garage will also benefit greatly from this. Why have they not stepped up to support this financially? I'm happy to know that Storm Smart stepped up to the plate, but businesses that will directly benefit should do so also.
