You all forget that the city unions have to be fed. Your bloated city government where cuts are a dirty word have to have their pound of your flesh. We now have a complete union rubber stamp with 8 union reps on council. We have a city manager who just wasted 33 thousand dollars on a failed search for a fire chief. I am sure that is fine with this council, that have supported suing the citizens over the Fire Service TAX.

Nothing ever seems to change within this city government.

First you hear the figures are correct and the people just have it in for the city.

Then with a bit more scrutiny it is found the city government has erred on the figure as they usually have on budgets, taxes, projects.

They are forging ahead once again as the building industry here and nationally is not making strong improvements. Today it is reported home equity lines of 40% of those nationally are running late in payment. Also banks are not lending for second homes in seasonal areas like Florida. Go ahead Cape Coral borrow more money. Hope you can borrow your way to a prosperity that is still years away. It is reported today a second wave of foreclosures are coming and you will force more here in your negligent current and historical past. Clairvoyance is not needed, but common sense is in desperate need here!
