To the editor: I want to thank all of you that worked on my campaign. It was gratifying to know that you were willing to step forward and help with my reelection bid....

Well I read that the former buffoon of a Mayor has now stated that he has an IT expert to back up his findings. NAME HIM, JOHN. Name the IT expert. Sullivan's entire claim to fame & political platform has been inference and innuendo. No substance, no proof, just baseless allegations and memory lapses. I would like to see a counter suit against this goof for filing a trivial litigation suit based on warrantless allegations. Please, will one of the defedants in this case talk to a lawyer and consider moving forward with this idea.

Add shameless to trust when speaking of John Sullivan in his attempt for a recount. He has charged those who have tirelessly worked for him for 4 years and now claims they "may have improperly participated in the count of votes". His "proof" not provided, as yet since his "expert" another IT expert, will present his case. Good luck John Sullivan try getting the loyalty you were given for 4 years again.

Ray I read the some thing you and Lolita do regarding him dropping the nonsense recount. I noticed he clearly recognized the total votes. Although Lolita does make an excellent point about trust. The recent court Fiasco was proof of his trust worthiness. Then we witnessed the brigade of excuse makers try to stifle it with technicality nonsense. We know and agree he said it in court but it wasn't official testimony. I guess technicalities factored into lies makes truth in this groups eyes. SAD!

I get such a laugh out of the Former Five when they write there LTE's etc... Always excuses and blame, never once are they accountable to themselves for there losses.

Hypocrisy at it's best, "They are about representing the majority of the residents not the special interest groups." Wish,he, Deile, Brandt, Kuehn and the rest of the Contract with the Cape Cronies had practiced that. I warned him after he got elected if he didn't start acting like he was for all the people, he'd go down...I had no clue I was so prophetic. :)

In my humble opinion: What a disgrace this poor excuse of a human was. He will never understand human dignity or grace. His photo hanging with other Mayors at City hall should be turned around for future generations to view and ask why, and then be told of the importance to vette ALL candidates for public office. His legacy is of arrogance and stupidity. A stumble bum of incompetence at levels never before seen in public office, not only this great City, but never before seen in any City. The City of Chicago was missing an idiot, unfortunately he was elected here in the Cape, to become our Mayor. The man never had a clue. From the phoney baloney rants and raves about MWH, to now the final insult of demanding a recount, John Joseph Sullivan has been a total embarrassment to the City and a disgrace to the office of Mayor, anywhere. Again, IMHO.

Kirsten,

I know him well, and he has always been an ungracious self-serving loser...like his yappy dog raising fellow outcast.

It is telling that RAGs are so full of hate/evil that even after his loss you must STILL carry on telling lies and misinformation about McGrail! It proves how threatened you are by him, his ideas, integrity, and humanity. Sully, I think this would be a good time to say to YOU what your pals said to Kevin McGrail following HIS thank you letter to the citizens. [Avatar said “This man is no loss to Cape Coral.”] All the more true of YOU Mumbles, or should we call you ‘Sleepy’? You are a huge embarrassment to Cape Coral and the decent honest citizens and employees who live here. [JJSully said “I am so very surprised....you really are as pompous in print as you were on the Dias. Thank God we fired you. . . . Don't let the door hit you in the ...Don't forget your slush fund check for insurance and cheap plaque on your way out.”] Of course we all know that what YOU are is nasty, hostile, dishonest, narcissistic, ill-mannered and using veterans. What WAS the reason you didn’t serve?

The same door that McGrail proudly walked out of you and Lurch will slither through. This week [JustAnotherBill said: “I went to a going away party for McGrail. For some reason he wasn’t invited.”] I wonder if that was similar to the one held for you and Leest – but ours was a victory party and twice the size! Mumbles you and Leest should consider yourselves lucky that you were voted out because otherwise more than one complaint would be filed with the Ethics Commission and the State’s Attorney. Some of us are like you Mumbles, “I don’t get mad I get even!”

The man can't even thank his volunteers and supporters without getting in his little digs. Just thank them and move on with grace and dignity.

The city of Cape Coral should feel fortunate it was able to weather the storm for 4 years and finally send you back to the peanut gallery. You were the most anti-city mayor this city has seen or will probably ever see. However, you did serve a purpose. You, along with your friends Deile, Brandt, Leetz, King and Kuehn were great examples of what this city didn't need. It was a lesson this city learned the hard way and will resonate in the minds of voters for years to come.

You were not the best mayor or the worst. Though some of what you did I didn’t like but I agreed with you on some important issues so I voted for you hoping to keep Marni out which I believe is the worse of the two options. Now time will tell how she will work out. But, you freakin lost and filing for the recount is idiotic.
