I think the rate payers have carried the load long enough. I say it is about time the UEP is restarted. I live in the N and need my roads repaired, if there is no PST or FAF there will be no money to fix my roads. Sorry, these candidates will not get my vote. VOTE SAWICKI, MCGRAIL, LEON and BURCH!

Lynn way too much controversy around the Mayor right now!!! This document follie we being drug through is nuts. He doesn't know how his signature got on the document. You are asking me to vote for this craziness?? It would be a wasted vote because when the FDLE proves the signature is or is not the Mayors we may have a mayor gone, and possibly one who may have lied under oath in court.

The there is Leetz... Lynn you are asking me to vote for a guy that has on his own, with his own words proven to be 3 French fries shy of happy meal. To the point that security scanning is now in effect for council. Clearly there must be a reason for this concern.

Why even bother considering Headd and Williams based on the other two you have tied them with. I thought the great fuel heist and kidnapping of the trunk monkey was bad Lynn!! Boy oh boy was I wrong there! Now the beast has evolved to court testimony and dragging us through the mud.

I encourage folks to utilize our news resources to study history concerning some of the candidates. I personally used a Facebook page put together by two smart women her in the Cape. They used there Get Out and Vote, Take Back the Cape theme to layout an unbiased chronological history and the folks involved. I found it useful.

Lynn- As a clarification, the Cape Chamber's Public Affairs Committee does support the Public Service Tax as part of the revenue diversification program and advised the general membership of same. This was approved by the Board. The Committee is still waiting for final details regarding the Fire Assessment Fee before reviewing this program for consideration for support. If the PST is a business killer, as you state, then the great majority of cities in the State who use this Statute authorized program must also have a business killing mindset. The truth is that not implementing a revenue diversification program is the business killer due to the over dependence on a single source of revenue, the ad valorem tax, for the General Fund.

Leetz does not know what the truth is!!! The transcripts show that. He said the document with the mayors signature is forged. The mayor stated he does not know how his signature got on that document, yet says he never said forgery. Leetz stated sunshine violations by Dr. D and McClain, as Dr. D said he knew how Marty was going to vote....((an email was read regarding how Marty was going to vote)think maybe thats how Dr. D knew? duh!!! Leetz speaks with forked tongue, and the mayor has a memory problem.....They both need to go!!!!

Lynn, aka Lynn, there are approximately 500 municipalities in the State who use the PST applied to electric service only. They represent a broad spectrum of population centers. I am not certain what you are referencing. The report is available on the Florida Dept of Revenue website. As I said, the great majority of municipalities chose to utilize a more diverse revenue approach, which a rational business model requires for financial sustainability. I began pushing for this approach in 2006 when I first came on to the Budget Review Committee, and it has been one of the key focus points of my recommendations to the city since.

ccrider aka steven riggs, I was referring to the Fire Assessment in my response. You are always condescending and a know it all. That is why I choose not to respond to your unending windiness in your failed attempt to be convincing with regards to your misguided conclusions. Have a lovely day!

Ms.Rosko, I have long respected your thoughts and defended your right to sat them, but how could you begin to support a man like Leetz and what he stands for? I can understand Sullivan but don't agree with it. we need this city to go forward with strong leadership. I don't think he is the person. I might be wrong on Headd and Williams but they seem to support the values of the other two. No I am not a Union person but I do believe I strong protection in these areas. I have been in the Cape since 1983, I have paid for Dual water first and then later on the sewers It has cost me a lot of money. I am still living in the same house I built in 1983. I am not ******** about the money I paid and I do understand where the others are coming from, but we need the expansion and we need to improve our roads. This takes money, so taxes have to increase. We do need improved management. I have voted but not for your slate.

It never ceases to amaze me to what extremes Lynn Rosko will go to push her twisted political agenda. Her attempts to convince people that her cronies are the only candidates deserving a vote, is the same old rhetoric she preached in the last election. It’s amusing how she tries to defend the actions and past voting records of Sullivan and Leetz. Neither have done a thing to improve the city and there is no reason to believe that will change should they be reelected. Revenue diversification and what it means to the city passed completely over their heads. They simply lack the wherewithal to recognize the needs of a city the size of Cape Coral. Get over it Rosko, the people in this city deserve better and they’re about to get it.

Lynn- I apologize for bringing some facts and perspective to your commentaries, especially when they aren't accurate, which my comments specifically do bring. Btw, if you don't want these types of discussions, don't post in public forums.

Does the following definition remind anyone of someone?

Definition from Nolo’s Plain-English Law Dictionary: Perjury The crime of intentionally lying after being duly sworn to tell the truth by a notary public, court clerk, or other official. This false statement may be made in testimony in court, administrative hearings, depositions, or answers to interrogatories, as well as by signing or acknowledging a written legal document (such as an affidavit, declaration under penalty of perjury, deed, license application, or tax return) known to contain false information. A 7.13% increase in property valuation, no 5% BONUS to existing base wages would have allowed a measly 6.5 million to be used for your areas road resurfacing. All we here is housing starts are increasing. Where is the IMPACT FEE MONEY. Where is all the impact fee money from years passed? I know I paid about $10,000 to pay for future roads, fire dept. water & sewer. Where is the money? Misspent, mismanaged, and Unaccounted for! This did not happen when the FAB 5 was elected. We now know it was happening before them and is happening with the sludge making DEALS for 5% BONUSES, false Pension savings this city will NEVER see during the next 25 years or after!

What can you say to someone who is fast and loose with the truth as Lynn is? I find Ccrider to be a credible voice in these discussions and for Lynn to dismiss him as she did, for being correct, is a missed opportunity for her to learn. You don't have to be the smartest person in the room to qualify for council, just the one willing to listen and learn from different perspectives. The tea party mentality of assuming you are elected to be rigid no matter what is ignorant and incredibly short sighted. Remember, those that know it all know nothing!

"MR . KUDLA : Q Mr. Leetz, you indicated that there was a--there was a or did you indicate that there was a resentation in--during an openly scheduled council meeting where you believed that there was improper communication between two or more council members without benefit of being before the public? A Yes,sir." So the question I have for you sir just point blank DID YOU ACCUSE ME of a sunshine violation about somehow or another colluding with Councilmember McClain about some vote I said he voted. LEETZ: No sir, I DID NOT and when we get the transcript, you’ll be able to see exactly what was stated.

"What can you say to someone who is fast and loose with the truth as Lynn is? " What we can say is that she has spent 10 years partying and drinking with the biggest bunch of liars this city has ever known. If you say something enough, you come to believe it=== we should pity her, not abuse her.
