Here is a little something that they left out. The CM's Evaluation was a "SELF EVALUATION" NO WONDER HE GOT A GOOD REVIEW. HE TOLD THEM HE WAS EXEMPLARY AND THEY AGREED. DONTYA LUVIT WHEN YA CAN EVALUATE YOURSELF. WHAT A FARCE. Only in the Socialist Republic of Cape Coral.

NONE.

yOU STATED IT WAS A RETIREMENT COMMUNITY. FACT IS, SULLIVAN AND LEETZ HAD THEIR OPPORTUNITY ON THE DAIS IN THE PUBLIC EYE TO SHARE THEIR DISTRUST OF THE CM. HOW THEY ARE NOT PLEASED WITH HIS PERFORMANCE AS THEY BOTH SPEWED IN PUBLIC ELSEWHERE AND IN PRINT. ON THE DAIS, TOTAL SILENCE. THAT'S WHERE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO PARTICIPATE, BUT...THEY DID NOTHING.

So what you are saying then it's OK to run the city on the backs of families that are trying to raise children here, how is that different from fleecing the retired people or any other group that owns property in the Socialist Republic of Cape Coral? The only thing the city manager has done is hire a DCD to supposedly make the city more business friendly,-all it has done is that the taxpayers have to pay an other $100,000.00 plus salary and benefits. Forty years of not having a functioning business model for the city and all they had to do was hire a Director of Community Development,-WHODA THUNK IT TWAS ALL SO SIMPLE. This city is only one step up from Detroit, MI the worst run city in the country.

none. The average age here in Cape Coral is 42 or thereabouts. Therefore, retirementcommunity no longer applies. Working families, raising children along with retired families. Preplatted is the problem. But again, I emphasize, what has all that got to do with the CM's evaluation? NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING. Again Leetz called for his dismissal, firing, etc. in the papers last week and last night, NADA NADA NADA.

It's very simple, you cannot have a 120 square mile retirement community supported by the tax dollars of said retired people. You need jobs and businesses. The socialist republic of Cape Coral is NOT business friendly and never has been, they have had articles about that in the Breeze before. The waste must stop! Sanity need to be restored in city hall. The Progressive Union Socialists must be removed from the council. A working business model must be adapted for this city, because the current one is unsustainable and has been for 40 years, if they don't change, THIS CITY will DIE. And that may not be a bad thing for the property owners. YOU CANNOT RUN A CITY ON THE WALLET's OF RETIRED PEOPLE

PenGuy: How would you attempt to evaluate the City Manager?? Do you know or follow what he brings to Council? My question is Chulakes Leetz, both at a forum and in the Breeze, called for his removal. What did you hear from him last night? That's right. Not one thing. Does he know something better now than last week. Oh yeah. It's election time. Crunch.

What I was trying to say is that the ones that hire are the ones that always do the evaluations instead of the cutizens who the manager & council should be accountable to. This is the way it has alwys been. I have never seen poll sent out to the populace for their evaluation& if this was done members of council could get an idea ahead of elections of how they fare with citizens & if they are in the mainstream or need to change to get in it.

Pen Guy, MOST of the people in this city no longer care one way or another about the council let alone the CM! Witness the turnout for the primary election. People are tired of the shenanigans and lies coming from prior council and their pals. The RAGs and the M8 and their wives and supporters have shredded this city, its reputation, and its economy. Rather than do the right thing, they refused to spend money and let infrastructure and programs rot and now we are left in a hole. People are just sick of it!
