Lolita you and Packer can wipe the egg off your face at anytime.

Your discrediting of SOMEONE running for office evidently did not work.

The reason your facts were flawed and the majority of the voters will be showing you both again.

Hey word on the streets is more tax payers are doing their homework and seeing what 7% utility tax is going to be costing them April through September, along with a Fire Assessment, and increase in real estate tax. Keep up the good work Lolita you are helping to wake up the voters even the apathetic ones.

Sept. 10th primary has come and gone and the voters responded.

Why they voted for Sullivan soundly over Sawicki by 2/3 of the votes.

And Headd was elected as well.

Many on this string assured Sullivan and Headd would not make it.

What great prognosticators!

Just like the direction they are so sure this city should be taking for success.

Anyone notice the poor enslaved police dept. and their shabby pay wages, unfettered overtime, with 3% raise and 5% BONUS. Those were not even in the figures in the News-Press article on Sunday 9/22/13. But most of the voters knew this so the article just confirmed it. I guess we see they will be able to cover the 7% electric utility tax, the new Fire Assessment Tax, along with the increase on real estate Tax.

1smartSandy.... I agree take Ms Sawicki and Sullivan out of the picture. Which means a ton of votes were given for people other than Sullivan. If they wanted to support him they would have voted for him.

1Sandy: It was reported that he spent the evening visiting with supporters. I guess that was Leetz.

@JustanotherBill: call me all the names you want but RAG will never be one of them. As far as this election went, 67 percent voted for anyone other than John Joseph Sullivan. Very telling even if you are a biased RAG. I see where John was with all his supporters last night when they went to interview him...Sullivan & Leetz just sitting there, apparently alone. Face it RAGs, Sullivan may get 40 maybe 45 percent like his cronies, Brandt & Diele did when the where thrown out on their ears, but he won't win. And the Leetz...Bwahahahaha!

Ray, Because 1DumbSandy kept saying John was not going to survive the primary and he was the front runner. I guess I am not the only one that does not want my wallet raided.

What a night to celebrate! The primary 'winner' of the mayoral vote received a whopping 2.7% of the vote of the registered voters of the City, and the runner up received 1.6%. It appears we have a mandate developing... You can get more people voting from a cemetery in a NJ election.

Lynn, some of the numbers were at the 93.7% level, but the results are the same.

My point on Vince was that he was the first loser of the never to be. Boyd had a chance, but crashed and burned.

Sully 42% Anybody but Sully 58%. Do you really think the non-rag votes are going to switch to the rags?

Plus Jim beat the Healdd by 2 to 1.
