Swirly's wife handles the finances at his house. He does not realize that when you are overbought or overspent there can not be a lt of spending activity. It is counter productive to paying off your debt. However Sweirly more than likely carries credit card balances, pays the minimum and will pass his bills both non collateral and collateral on to his family or others to pay when he defaults. A financial mastermind not likely!

So broke but of all the wages for employees a 5% Bonus?

Check out the cost of total wages in the police and fire budgets in this current years budget. Google Cape Coral Budget 2013. Wha, wha, wha, we have NO money for capital projects!

Roads? They just completed Del Prado Extension, a LARGE SECTION OF Pine Island Rd, Santa Barbara, Del Prado, Cape Coral Parkway, part of Viscaya Blvd. All this with a reduction in vehicle traffic since Dec. 2006. Population estimated at over 171,000 people down to a low of less than 151,000 which is now today 154,000. The county even estimated that there was 16% less vehicles on the roadways. Those state revolving funds should have been procured for the residential roads then. Not the water and sewer project. The water and sewer project fund COULD HAVE come from Federal Environment Agency that had $23 billion available for project that were "shovel ready". These monkeys had the master plan, it was engineered and we paid for all of it!

This Slick 6 council is going to have to show you what they are made of...Lies!

Where is the 2 mil reduction printed in the News-Press from the words of City Manager John Szerlag? % Days later he says can not give the taxpayers 2 mil reduction. He changes his words to 1 mil reduction. Then he changes to NO reduction, ZERO reduction. Now Erbrick who knows the taxpayers she her as she is a leader who the taxpayers see for what she is wants to save face. Donnell also looking in the mirror and seeing his hand is being forced by some of the most deceitful wants to couch up a 1/4 of 1 point. Yes (.25). So will go any of the savings they have shown or verbalized about in relation to saving the home owners or renters. They will vaporize to nothing, zero. Any credit they try to put through you'll never see. Not a penny! The savings on the pension they now say is $125 million (including the city workers union)over 25 years. Average $5 million a year. We won't see that or the the crafte

As with all claims made here Lightswitch, the evidence of their validity will ultimately be proven out at the polls. There's no getting around that, period. The one thing I have never actually been able to figure out is the fact that mnay claim the unions stole the last election. How do 1200 people steal an election when over 12,000 voted. The math just doesn't add up. Somewhere, somehow, the every day citizen had enough of the Fab 5 and decided to send them packing by VOTING for their opponent, real numbers don't lie.

Luckily moist of the people posting here have not been out of their armed camps with their security cameras whirring.

But many have been talking to you know those little voters who do not mean spit to many of you. To say they are ******,and fed up hearing and watching the antics of the Slick Six is an understatement on my part. Those people are not here on this website but they are paying attention to the media. They have awakened, realize the plight they have been put in. They are telling their friends, families and fellow workers. They will be at the polls and I believe I know how they will vote. They realize to continue adding unneeded taxes, to have spent money that brought no return will hurt them from selling their homes, buy their first home, will not promote anyone from building on the empty lot next to them. As the lady stated at the council meeting. "if you tell me it is a bargain and I can't afford it. IT IS NO BARGAIN!"

$30/year. Woohoo!! On New Years Eve you can celebrate with a 12 pack and a pizza. All thanks to the UEP savings. Council will probably come up with a $30 "Water quality and usage fee" to set aside money for future needed upgrades to the water lines and treatment plant. Sound absurd?

I don't know, the strategy of Mrs Rosko being stepping out front to publicly endorse four candidates could potentially backfire for those very same candidates. After all, she is remembered for being one of the more public faces of the road ahead, whether she signed the contract or not is irrelevant, she will always be recognized as one of their point people. This could potentially be the kiss of death for the candidates listed. Memories are long in this city, and unfortunately for Mrs Rosko her past associations tend to paint her in a bad light in many people's eyes.

4 years ago voters went to the polls to elect a Mayor and a leader for this great City and we got John Joseph Sullivan instead. Don't make the same mistake this time.

@lightswitch: Once again you lie. As I sat in my favorite chair I heard both the CM and their consultant state that the average bill will go down about 30 dollars a year and that was only the beginning. More rate reductions are expected yearly as more rate payers are added. We are so thankful that we now have Council people that have the guts to do what is right. VOTE SULLIVAN & LEETZ OUT!

Rates payer remember what the benefit will be to you. It was stated by the consulting firm this project will save "THE RATE PAYERS" $6 a year. Why that is 50 cents a month! You should be elated to save 50 cents a month. Look at the possibilities for you.

1. You could reduce your 7% electric UTILITY TAX from the extra $100 to $99.50.

2. You could reduce your $200 Fire Assessment Tax to $199.50.

However as this city council you will not see at reduction at all. How many times have you heard and seen in print SAVINGS from these people that just VAPORIZE.

The best example is the millage rate reduction started at 2 points, 5 days later 1 point, 2 weeks later ZERO. Now they still can not give a CLEAN answer on this but to remove the mud from their faces they are talking 1/4 of a point. As for voting McClain is GONE, next vote NO for McGrail, and by 2015 remove Erbrick, Carioscia, Nesta!
