Why does one need to sit on a city committee to be qualified? You should ask yourself "Does this person share my values?" "Will they make decisions based on what's best for Cape Coral?" In my opinion and personal experience, Mr. Ashby is the only real, honest and down to earth candidate running for Mayor. He is truly one of us. He understands his actions on council will effect Cape Coral families and has committed to seeking their input before casting any vote. His advocacy work at the National Coalition for Patriots affirms the fact he's not willing to sit on his hands when something needs to get done. Dan Ashby is the only candidate running for all the right reasons. Please go to a candidate forum, visit his website, read his plan and you will come to the same conclusion I did...Dan Ashby is the man who will listen to your concerns, build consensus and then Lead Cape Coral forward.

Mr. Ashby gets my vote! Dan is a well respected Husband, Father, & Citizen of Cape Coral who has an honest desire to SERVE the people of the Cape. Dan is the President of The National Coalition for Patriots, and has made it his mission to give back to the people of Cape Coral-who have generously given so much to his family! Mr. Ashby has put together a plan to address the issues of the Cape. As a citizen, with concern about the future of this city, it's nice to see a candidate put down-in Black & White what action would be taken to move our city forward! After attending many debates, & listening to each candidate speak, Dan is the ONLY one who addresses a question directly with a plan of action. We have enough uninformed voters in this city, who make decisions based on feelings or assumptions. Do yourself a favor, before you form an opinion READ Mr. Ashby's plan (****danashbyforthecape****), then if you find it doesn't make sense for this city, vote for someone who'll

One does not need to attend council meetings to be qualified to sit on the dais, that was a road ahead requirement, remember? All one needs is to have fresh ideas, and the wearwithal to follow through on them. That being said, it has been my impression thus far that Mr Ashby may be a wolf in sheep's clothing. Much like Mr Diele was his first time around. Present yourself in one way to get elected, then do an about face once you are in. Caveat Emptor

What City committees has "Dan" chaired? NONE! What City committees has he even been on? NONE. Why hasn't he been seen at many Council meetings? What College Degrees has he earned? What volunteer organizations does he chair? Is he even a member of any? What public service experience does he have? These are pertinent questions and should be answered by each and every candidate including the incumbent. Look, 4 years ago voters went to the polls to elect a Mayor and a leader for this great City and we got John Joseph Sullivan instead. Don't make the same mistake this time.
