City is broke and yet a 5% bonus is passed out to municipal workers.

You will have and do now to see what the wages in police, fire, and city is listed.

Remember all the NEW TAXES were due to a $20 million short fall. WHAT CRAP!

You saw $82,000 funneled by your police dept collected due to putting in bogus information and increasing by 10% 21 officers pays.

Gary Kings former city manager called for an audit which turned that up.

My point is it can and does happen!

We the taxpayers in Cape Coral pay 72% of the taxes in Lee County?

Cape Coral maybe has 24%/25% of the entire population in Lee County AND WE PAY 72% OF THE TAXES IN LEE COUNTY?

I am looking at the TRIM notice. So tasking out SCHOOL TAXES and calculating city of Cape Coral Portion.

The Cape portion is 58% of the total bill for last year.

But knowing that your husband works for the city maybe the city employees are taxed lower on portion(s) of their tax bill. While I do not know that IT WOULD NOT SURPRISE ME.

Also would be interesting to see who works for the city and owns what. Could their be spouses on separate properties, minor family members put on deeds, parents, relatives? In other words BOGUS Homestead Exemptions. Not possible how about the School board member who was found to have a home on the River in Ft. Myers who had 2 homes with 2 exemptions and rented the one on the river to corporations for workshops and get a ways. They also paid to the county NO Bed TA

PM Agree | Disagree CLASS WARFARE!! All the RAG posters have a common theme: blame the 1,200 city workers (not all are IN a union--this is a Right-To-Work State). Are RAGs suggesting that those 1,200 workers should support the 165,000 city? The oath “To Protect and Serve” or term “Public Servant” does NOT mean a lower class or servitude. We no longer have a ‘Servant Class’ in this country, or indentured servants, and Lincoln freed the slaves. Having a boat-load of money does NOT entitle RAGs to threaten, belittle, menace, and condemn their fellow citizens! Now we have people claiming that THEY are the judge of how much and when our employees should be paid! Shame on YOU, RAGs!!!
