Didn't hear any cries of foul when the County just told us, we are raising your taxes. Still want them in charge?

So now it's a four legged stool? Just how much more money does the city need? It's funny how all council people talk about being more business friendly, yet every move they make is another barrier. Sales taxes hurt businesses and make them less competitive. There is no free lunch, but it would be nice if council and candidates would stop talking out of both sides of their mouths.

Oh and the $100 million the city just BORROWED using the SRF State Revolving Funds. This should be the cherry on the cake that put the city over ONE BILLION DOLLARS IN DEBT. Reminds me of a a moron who has a credit card and MAX IT OUT. How long does it take a city to pay back $100 million along with the DEBT SERVICE.

SUSTAINABILITY!! SUSTAIN THIS!!!

Why doesn't the city of Cape Coral, Florida stop the twitching and mouth movements and just CLOSE UP SHOP.

Utility Tax of 7% is an added Tax of $100

Fire Assessment Tax $190

Increase in Real Estate tax based on at 7.13% increase in valuation Unknown

City employes a 5% BONUS to cover their Taxes and bolster their wages another 3%. That is more than 8% on base wages not counting overtime or special pay.

Cape Coral give it up and shut it down! I would rather have one layer of bureaucracy to deal with like Lee County than two and have what we have now! Wait till Lee County Electric encounters stiffed electric bills and turn offs due to nonpayment. There costs go up per kilowatt hour and so does the amount of the 7% Utility Tax. This will happen without an increase in the cost of energy.

Lee County Electric has not raised rate in 5 years. Shortage of fuel oil, natural gas, coal, or interest on debt and the cost gets passed to the consumer in Ca
