"CAP CAPE TAXES" also known as RAGs ARE US, have been trying to mount a crusade against progress. Where were you guys when the RAG Council were using our infrastructure money for everything accept infrastructure? Oh, that's right, as long as your taxes didn't go up, things were just fine with you. Well now, instead of just repairing roads, because of the RAG Council's negligence and delay, our taxes must go to REPLACING the roads. Yes, CAP CAPE TAXES, until it is time to pay the piper...then we now pay triple the cost of what it would have originally cost to maintain the roads. Well, let us all enjoy our new taxes compliments of the preceding RAG Council. Thanks Bill, Peter, Erick and Gary, SULLIVAN & LEETZ.

Remember, taxpayers of the Cape, that none of these taxes would have been neccessary if the RAG Council & Mayor JOHN SULLIVAN had used infrastructure money for roads, equipment and the replacement of emergency vehicles, instead of using the money to wastefully go after 'MWH" or hiring lackeys to assist their incompetent, appointed City Manager, or pay for the legal costs of the SULLIVAN & DEILE lawsuit against the City, or pay for their wives to go out and dine on the taxpayer dime...oh yes, plenty of wasted taxpayer dollars there. WE WON'T FORGET WHEN WE GO TO THE POLLS...YOU'LL SEE!

Eileen which one of the hookups will you be needing? Water? Sewer? Irrigation? As I recall you have stated in the past that you have some of them already.

"The first panacea for a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; the second is war. Both bring a temporary prosperity; both bring a permanent ruin. But both are the refuge of political and economic opportunists." Ernest Hemingway. With the bankruptcy of Detroit as a template, the wise might consider a discounted payment now in lieu of a promise to pay payment later. Extravagant future benefits & pensions will no doubt be re- negotiated as innovation ceases and regulation stymies growth. The levy of higher and higher taxes will result in fewer residents, so the taxing authorities respond with more redundant tax schemes. The residents that stay on are ever more dependent of local gov’mt. thru transfer payments or salaries. The downward spiral cannot be stopped. Imagine it as spiral staircase with smaller and smaller steps as you descend. Soon, you’ll be standing in thin air. But, you’ll have your union contract!

Eileyn: Could you please let me know how much your bill is going to be. I'm getting ready to start snatching up a bunch of cheap land, and want to make sure I'm budgeting properly. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Please provide me with cash up front payment, and if amortized over 20 years. Thanks.

Fact. I live in SW 6/7. My bill is not going to be 24K if I do a payment plan. It will be less. In fact, far less than the last time this was discussed.

Diele, imo, has never gotten over the loss of not being the mayor when eric f. resigned. It has turned Bill into a bitter person with no respect for himself or others. His agenda was to Break the Unions and put this city into Financial turmoil. He succeeded in the turmoil part but lost out in unions. He took union money in 2007 and stuck it to to the very same folks that supported him.It cost him his seat on the dais,in 2011.Now its Sullivan and Leetz turn to get re-elected,so get prepared for the B.S. to fly.Its all they know how to do..Get the Brooms out and lets start the sweeping !

Sandy, your last sentence is so true. To you, Billy, please don't bother to write that next letter. The whole idea of you, Billy, explaining the rationale behind the bonus, is absurd. You haven't uttered a rational or logical sentence since you moved here. Don't try to explain or rationalize someone else's actions, you skew it every time. To some that is known as "lying".

Billy, it was you that voted to raise the millage 63 percent. Billy, it was you that voted to geve pensions out to city employees with no regard to time on the job. Billy, Billy, Billy, we voted you out and now you come, to point a finger at progress? What pension problems did you resolve? What under funded liabilities did you resolve? Please answer to these facts before criticizing progress. Or is it you just don't understand or appreciate progress when you see it?

Billy, as a member of the general employees union I will gladly give back the 5% (before taxes) if the city gives back the 50,000,000 in savings we gave from our pension to save the city money. What do you say billy?

Classic "just us" generation. They are OK with getting pension checks but absolutely despise the thought of another generation earning a pension. Hypocrisy seems to be a real problem for you. Maybe that is why you were bounced off the council.
