Look at last years budget and SEE the figures and the percentage. The city over spent on its revenues to run the city as it did last year and other years even in good times. Go back and look at the recordings of the council meeting and see where the council continued its spending and blew not $20 million but $16 million. The extra four needed is just ANOTHER 25% cushion for them to claim as a NEED. Check the city's revenue and expenses 2013. It is there big and bold. Easy job to vote 6 I's and pull the wool over many. Especially when the many on this site need the city for their wages so they are not foreclosed on and their children remain financially secure. Watch Detroit's pension programs get in line with the rest of the nation to follow. Why they are even considering a typical 401K plan to avoid the "pension pit".

Oh I neglected to say this is either going to be 1/3 of your tax bill (you know city of Cape Coral) and another 2/3 of your real estate tax probably going up from Lee County.

SEE MANY MANY MANY MORE OF YOU AT THE POLLS TO VOTE FOR THE ONES WHO WILL PROTECT YOUR WELL BEING.

AVOID LINES EARLY VOTE OR BETTER YET REQUEST ABSENTEE BALLOT EARLY VOTE FROM HOME AND MAIL THE BALLOT IN.

BYE THE WAY WITH THE ADDED VOTING EQUIPMENT AND NO & PAGES OF AMENDMENTS TO BE SCANNED THERE WILL BE NO LINES AS FOR THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.

94,000 registered voters need to make a better showing if you really reside here and save yourself some money to spend or save. MAKE IT YOUR CHOICE NOT THE CITY COUNCIL'S.

October 1, 2013 Utility Tax 7% easy in Oct, cold winter tougher in Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar, Hot early summer tough to toughest Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep. Let's say. Utility Tax an extra $100 to $200 or more a year.

Fire Assessment round figures an extra %100 to $250 a year

Subtotal $200 to $450 plus per year.

Watch for an increase in water and sewer. How much another 8% to 10%. Another $90 to $135 a year?

Total $335 to $550 Real estate Tax look at last year look at valuation add 7.13% and figure your tax estimate this year before the TRIM Notice. On top of what you paid last year in real estate Tax. Which you can take off your Federal Income Tax form for 2012.

When these figures hit the people that do not work for the city will be lined up like soldiers at the General's Review to sign any petition to provide relief from the Slick Six who are putting your homes and financial well being at a HIGH RISK LEVEL.

Congratulation Boys and Girl I have been waiting for you

Loveless and litgwich! You NEVEFR ANSWERED THE QUESTION! Did capcape have someone sit and then follow to photograph Park and Rec vans and 'photograph Cape parents' young children outside a theater? THAT IS A "YES" OR "NO" QUESTION! Who took the photos? How many were taken? Were the kids followed inside? How do we know? YOU ARE SILENT ON THIS IMPORTANT ISSUE!

Just wrong. Kindly note that Dilli and Brand were voted out at the last election and not ONE of the RAG-osaurs was elected! But the Rag-osaur 100 just can't sit down and accept defeat gracefully. Guess what---you lost and Sully "say-no-to-everything" and "I hate everybody, even myself," Leest won't be re-elected! Did any of you catch the Dilli reaction when it was announced he lost? Incredulous, angry, hateful, nasty comments to media! Thanks Bill . . .

Not quite complete, Coral Oaks Golf course 230K subsidized, sun splash water park over a half million in subsidy. Parks and Rec is heavily subsidized. Just the way it is.

Yes, Parks & Rec is subsidized by taxes but operating costs most definitely are offset by user fees. Per page 20 of the 2012 CAFR, $11,809,745 was paid by taxes and $5,391,333 by user fees. HOWEVER, the summer camps are paid in full by the user. The Parks & Rec web page lists several summer camp programs offered from science camp, horse camp, skate park camp, fine arts camp, jr. lifeguard camp, etc. and the costs range from a high of $255/week PER child for horse camp to the typical $89/week PER child for the Austen Youth Center camp.

Parks & Rec is subsidized by the general fund by over 2 million dollars. Parks is not fee based and that has been the situation for many, many years. If it gets funded by user fees, hundreds turnout complaining. Cape Coral is more socialist than capitalist.

Hey here is a great idea to stop the city from continuing to borrow its future away.

Let's tax Electricity. provide 62% of the Fire Dept budget as a separate bill?

Well gee why not do it with Police Dept? The entire Public Works Dept?

Establish a separate Road TAX mailed monthly.

Charge a Vehicle TAX, boats, personal watercraft, traillers, RV's as a separate Tax?

Why I bet we can then say Cape Coral, Fl has NO REAL ESTATE TAX. (Only non ad valorem TAXES).

All because the city is the largest in the state of Florida. With the 11th largest population THAT CAN'T MAKE ENDS MEET.

Here is a prediction to go along McClain choosing not to run. I said he would not be there term 2, McGrail will not be reelected, a pot bellied pig would get more votes. City Managers have a 7 yr. average career in a city. John will not make four here. He has been here a yr. so far!

If it is another name for Road Ahead Gang that is actually good for the MAJORITY of the home owners.

They seem to be saying to the city you have the largest increase in the city with property values.

You will receive an increase in relation to a 7.13% increase in valuation.

You have implemented a 7% tax of electric kilowatts houses used.

You will receive a separate Fire Assessment to pay 62% of the cost of a fire dept.

WHAT IT SHOWS THE PEOPLE THE CITY MISMANAGED LAST YEARS BUDGET.

FALSIFIED A REALISTIC BUDGET THIS YEAR.

WANTS TO CONTINUED UNFETTERED SPENDING IN PROPORTIONS NOT NEEDED WITH A POPULATION THE CITY HAS. WE GOT LAND LOT'S OFG LAND. BIG DEAL.

I'D SAY THE MAJORITY OF RESIDENTS ARE FED UP WITH THIS SLICK SIX AND WHAT THEY HAVE DONE AND WHAT THEY WANT TO CONTINUE TO TRY TO DO!

THE BUILDING IS NOT HERE ANYMORE AND BUSINESSES ARE CLOSING MAYBE AS FAST AS THEY ARE OPENING.

Cape is not the fast grower it once was and is a credit nightmare!

No Dimmie that is not case.... Now.... Answer this... Are you lightswitch saying that Cap Cape taxes did not publicly display pictures of little boys and girls possibly taken by a known stalker? In the past you have shown strong moronic ability to run and skate from questions as soon as folks back you into a corner. This one is simple for even a liar like you... Well Dimmie did they or did they not... Yes or no... Time to show me how it is BS

I love the spirit of our country!! We get the choice to agree or disagree with a political position. The freedom of assembly, freedom of speech etc...

I choose not to agree with a group that chooses to send a photographer, possibly a known stalker to take pictures of little boys and girls. That group loses credibility and lacks morality.
