@CapeCoralCuestions" Yes, your math is as wrong as your logic. And everyone who wanted to speak, got to speak. The RAGs were stopped in their tracks with their filibuster plan and the biggest loser of the bunch former Mayoral candidate, one that now holds the title of Republican President (bwahahaha)made the biggest joke of himself with a 3 minute illogical and pointless rant. Dude, watch yourself on the City video, it was hilarious. Watch it in slow mo...bwahahaha! Now back to the timelines...150 people speak at 3 minutes each would have had those sitting there for what, 450 minutes or 7 and a half hrs. minimum, for just the input portion. You know something, that Councilman Nesta is pretty sharp at that. Bwahahahahaha!

CCC, it's 15 hours, not 1.5. You need to move your decimal point.

@TerryGolf: you are a buffoon . The Council Chambers holds just under 300 people legally. Others were forced to view the event either in the lobby or at home on internet. 300 x 3 minutes is over 1.5 hours. How long does it take to state your position? Are you saying your citizens are too stupid and ignorant to express themselves redundantly in an hour and a half? Is it not true that EVERYONE who wanted to speak got to do so? Why are you Lying? What is your nefarious agenda here? Why LIE?

Didn't the Mayor just kick Alessia Leathers out of chambers because she had the gall to present a position he didn't care for?

terrygolf1313, my what a selective memory you possess. Your sainted Fab 5 would routinely shut someone down at the podium for simply stating something which they did not agree with only a mere few sconds into their allotted 3 minutes. They would also routinely allow their allies more time at the podium, as they were shutting down those who voiced opposing views.

I seem to remember more citizens speaking on behalf of implementing the tax, than citizens speaking against it. There I go again pointing out the facts............

Dick Kalfus is a liar! Sullivan and Leetz have never presented any legal proposal for revenue diversification, ever!

Mr. Kalfus, you have never written a positive thing concerning our wonderful City.NEVER..here's a tidbit of advice for you: If you dont like what's happening here, then load up your precious joys and go North. We don't desire your ilk here any longer and take your like minds with you.The City Of Cape Coral is moving forward and it will be diversified to take care of itself,so the politics will be taken out of the equation. the Citizens had their say and most have agreed that the Council did the proper adjustment in setting the PST @ 7 %. The other revenue sources will be adjusted accordingly and our life in paradise will move on. Hopefully, you will stop the hate and dissention and join us!

The only people complaining about the 3 minutes was the "filler busta" group who made it known, in advance, (dumb) that they were going to sabotage the whole meeting by talking, talking, etc. Unfortunately, while they plotted, council acted, wisely, to allow everyone there (packed house filled to capacity) to speak, thereby fulfilling the promise to hear EVERYONE. And they did, hours of"testimony". Of course the "filler busta" group, regrouped and came in with their "facts and figures" and...you guessed it the usual threats, "we'll throw you out you and yours" if you vote for this. This is the same groupies that are advertising the "over-throw" of the government. More things change, the more they stay the same. No one's rights were "violated".

Dear Father Kalfus, AKA the RAG Chaplain, If you need more than 3 minutes to make your point, you do not have a point, you have an agenda.

I Council should be able to make their point in "20 words" why can't the public have their say in 3 minutes?

If you cannot express your opinion in 3 minutes, you do not understand your position.
