anyone know exactly where this parcel is? Is it on the same canal miceli's currently exists, that current is very strong and may not make a good boat launch.

I believe the 3.3m is the appraisal CC received. Micel's offered 1.5m. Therefore, discussions will take place.

Just an observation. I do think the boat ramp access make sense. However for a city to not have money where does the $3.3 millions come from? Are they to EXTRACT another $150 from 22,000 homes? Just making a point about spending what is plain and simple more money than they supposedly have or need with the $150 per home BS. Ever wonder why the Florida governor does not ever bother to come to this important minded city? Go Hertz!

A person really does have to ask a question even if they were in favor of annexation.

Why would this village not want to be annexed although knowing that the village is not the target?

Do they know something that is being overlooked? Is it because they won't be able to care on their lives without the city government of Cape Coral governing them.

Do they know what services they don't have already this city could give(?) them?

What is they fear or don't want? But they and most know they are not in the sights of the city of Cape Coral.

Being a boater in a water wonderland I whole heatedly agree with the Parks Director that this could be a great park/boat launch. The city has several miles of frontage on Matlacha Preserve but no direct access launch. This is a great opportunity that we can't pass up.
