All I can say Patty is that last individual wasn't a real city manager and tried to line the pockets of himself and friends with taxpayer monies. Sometimes the truth hurts Patty, but it is still the truth.

I did not support nor like the last city manager. Net, you throw out accusations of criminal activity. Lining ones pockets with taxpayer dollars is an accusation of criminal activity. Substantiate those accusations with facts to the State Attorney General. Also, these taxes were talked about before and got shot down. The same should happen now. Put it on the ballot so the voting public can vote on it. Oh, I forgot. he voters in Cape Coral don't care enough to come out and vote.

The person that held the position before Szerlag was never a CM and he certainly wasn't fired for making statement about revenue shortfalls. Patty, do you just type LTE that pop into your head?

The RAGs are shooting the messenger! Szerlag has stated we don’t have funds to maintain, repair, replace city buildings, vehicles, etc. IMHO its because The King-Dons raided those funds to lower taxes and balance the budget. They put off repair/replace to a critical point. If you don’t want the city property to fall down, we need more money. If you don’t want to provide more money, then the infrastructure and departments will have to be done away with. That’s the reality. Don’t care about roads in the north? How about canal and bridge repair in the south?

For Grumpy, the change agent had his cronies provide him with a multi thousand dollar bonus for having employees take pay cuts to help the city weather a financial crisis, without an ounce of participation on his part. He hired unqualified friends to provide him with knowingly false data at a cost of well in excess of 100k, then demanded an even greater bonus for the upcoming year, which the same cronies approved with no support material. These are facts Grampy so put that in your pipe!

netransplant: I completely forgot about King and his crybaby attitude demanding the full bonus. I also forgot about his 2 flunkies he hired to do some headhunting. I did misconstrue what was written about lining pockets. Sorry about that.
