Letter lacked factual substance

April 19, 2013

To the editor: Normally I would remain silent about personal attacks, since I have always assumed them to be a “fact of life” if you choose to put yourself in the public eye as an elected official....

With each LTE Kalfus loses respect and creds. Question: why is Kalfus not attacking Leetz for his continued lack of attendance, participation, incendiary insulting comments? Where was his outcry over the untrue, evil comments of some of his pals? Like his other Road Ahead pals, he is nothing more than an angry old coot. He sits home alone and so picks apart others. McGrail, with the city in a mess from King’s mismanagement, kudos to you for stepping up and telling the citizens the truth.

Mr. Mcgrail should watch his performace on Cape TV. He can be pompous and condensing to many. His snorts often reveal his true colors. His recent letter was filled with just that lies and scare tactics. For 20 mil we will be shuttering special needs programs, laying off 700 employees, gloom and doom all around. You and the city manager sound like the idiots in washington and their lies about sequesteration. We did not believe them and we do not believe you. I understand sir that you only have a nodding aquaintence with the truth but we deserve better than what we get from you. It will be a pleasure to vote you out of office. More than union and city workers vote as you will see pretty soon.

"Normally I would remain silent" that is impossible for you to do.

If JJSULLY needs a lesson in what condescending is/was from the Dais, he needs to look at the really tall man who needs multiple nicotine breaks, and the fellas who weren't re-elected. I can honestly say, I have watched and attended many a meeting, and do not remember once Mr. McGrail raising his voice at constituents. Just because you type it and put it black and white, doesn't make it true.

Hi Kevin: You are not "perfect" but you have shown courage, caring and consistency in your votes to move the city forward.

Kalfus (self-appointed voice of all truths) and his twin, jjsully(who keeps an enemies list in public office), are dysfunctional mumblers who thrive on accusations of corruptions and cries of condemnation for any who doesn't share their " with their HEADS shouts".

Most voters can see this. Most voters get a chuckle, ignore them and move forward!

You should too.

As McGrail points out, it has also been my experience that those who bang their bibles the loudest are usually the biggest hypocrites.

Eileyn I see you still drink the kool aid that the slick six serve. I did not expect any less. Make sure you send in those additional taxes that McGrail wants and needs so desperately.

JJSULLY??? give me a break. We all pretty well know it's not the guy sitting on the Dais, cause he can put two coherent statements together without making a phone call. It seems the News-Press loves his rhetoric, but remember....they decided that Gary King(dun-dun-dundun-da) was the "political figure to watch" a couple of years back. We did, right out the door. Hey Dick(no pun intended), get a life. The last two vestages of the road to bankruptcy will soon be sitting at the bar with Pete and Bill crying in their beer and snorting that no one understood them. We did, they got replaced, and councilmembers like Kevin are trying to undo what has been done by them and others. Keep up the good work Mr. McGrail.

Mr. Kalfus, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" If you can't live it, then you shouldn't be preaching it. You Sir are a hypocrite. You cannot preach the "word" and then proceed to behave in the manner you have chosen with your ill will for others published on an almost weekly basis.

You have to LOL when the mayor calls someone " Pompous and Condensing" I'm guessing he meant condescending. Mayor, for a look at the true epitome of those words, look into the mirror or to your immediate left on the dais. You who constently puts your hand infront of your mouth and is chewing something on the dais when we can barely understand you to begin with. You, who showed up at a public event with other dignitaries dressed in a worn brown sport coat, red pull over shirt, gray pants, dirty white walking shoes and no socks. A mayor who called a citizen back to the dias to try and scold them on their opinion during citizen input time, that would be me, and had to be stopped by others. A mayor who continually listens to Leetz, disparage and scold city employees from the dais, and who repeatedly leaves meetings to smoke, make phone calls and you call others names. It will be my pleasure to call you former mayor

John coming from you on the way the mayor dressed? You who what had a clothing allowance? By the way how much is the clothing allowance in PD $800 a year, $193,000? Don't ever let us see those 3x MOO MOO shirts worn twice! Man they don't call you Jackpot in Santa Nonica, Ca. for the heck of it. John Meihle "California Dreamin" is going to show everyone how it is done. The bloom is off the rose because of people like you. You arrived in 2002 and may not be over your head with your home but probably up to your neck!
