When the county brought this up a figure of $10 million was given as to what they would have to make up at 100% reduction of the fee (tax). So now it is an 80% reduction and the figure put out is a $5 million dollar loss in revenue. I figure they tell us 5 million when it will be a shortage of 8 million and probably more. Oh and who will make up the shortage of whatever the real figure is? You guessed it the bulk the residential home owners. Let's build more and more keeping the supply high and the the cash out value in the dirt. The county has set the tone and Cape Coral will have to follow. Enabling the those who will benefit from the thousands of piece of foreclosed properties to yet benefit again by an unnecessary discount in these future growth fees. When and if you sell you will be competing with your profit margin against these created "profit plums".
