The councel voted and the cafe is going out to RFP. KC's is able to rebid for the lease along with anyone else. Fair dealings. "Don't let the city close another waterfront access to the people of Cape Coral." Rizzi. Please tell the public what other waterfront access has been CLOSED TO THE PEOPLE.

Isn't ironic that the same people who railed against overspending and decreasing revenues are opposed to getting the best deal for the city? You people are the ultimate oxymorons....pun absolutely intended by the way. KC's is a glorified hotdog stand. If it is so loved by the people then they must be earning enough to make a competetive bid.

Our elected officials have a fiduciary responsibility to the residents to look at every means to maximize city revenues and costs. An RFP is fulfilling that duty.

No one is talking about closing it down and no one is talking about turning it into a hoity-toity five star restaurant for the wealthy. The ONLY thing on the table is giving all interested business owners an equal opportunity and getting the most competative lease rate the market will bear.
