Petition started to save landmark snack bar

One has to wonder why the current operator is pulling out all the stops to prevent this from going out to RFP. Now she wants to tell the city what the RFP should be for?, "a hot dog stand"?, seems to me she is leaving out the bait shop, and retail gas aspects of her business. I fear whatever goodwill that has been accumulated by this operator over the years will soon be evaporated. All she needs to do is submit a business proposal, she already has the inside track due to her knowledge of the business. Honestly,for the operator to keep referring to this site as merely a hotdog stand is disingenous. This is the overiding problem that currently exists, the site can be so much more and still keep it's character and ambiance.
