This is exactly why the Fire Station on Santa Barbara has the firetrucks leaving out the back doors. The County, in their infinite wisdom, thought it too close to the side street to allow the trucks to actually leave the firehouse onto Santa Barbara. Ridiculous. Response times are delayed by minutes because of having to drive all the way around the block. The Cape is the cash cow for this county, yet the county dictates to the Cape. Should be the other way around.

Maybe it is time to help these businesses that are in areas with changing traffic patterns to relocate. There are so many buildings and empty land commercial sites in the city. To trade and upgrade to a better location, building or lot should be fairly easy.
