Foreclosures and Mediation
December 10, 2009 - Sylvia Heldreth
Florida courts are currently trying to cope with more than 290,000 foreclosure cases.
Members of a Florida Foreclosure Task Force have suggested that mediation would be a good way to expedite a flood of mortgage foreclosures.
Borrowers would be contacted by phone and mail and asked to participate.
The cost, $750 per case, could be split 50-50 between lenders and borrowers.
Sounds like it would save time and money.
