Real Estate Agent and Broker Licensing

I don't know anyone who isn't for education including continuing education for those working in professions that require annual updates in order to stay current with new laws and trends. Acting as an agent in a real estate transaction is considered a professional career that requires annual educational updating.

My office has been visited lately by an amazing number of individuals who are participating in short sales and foreclosures by forming investment teams made up of family and friends. Some understand the legal process very well. Others have no idea about the process, never mind changes in the process each year. These investment groups, individuals engaged in "for sale by owner" transactions and anyone who buys and sells land without a licensed agent is permitted by law to do exactly what the professionals are trained to undertake.
