Smoking Ban On Entire Condo Property and Units

There is no question that cigarette smoking and secondary smoke can be harmful to a person's health. Florida has laws about smoking in public places and in community associations' common areas.

Some condo boards are considering making their entire properties, including inside units, smoke free. Boards and those impacted by secondhand smoke claim they have a legal right to ban smoking through a vote. Smokers say their rights would be infringed.
