Cape Coral is also home of the renowned Sun Splash Family Waterpark, a venue that attracts visitors and locals alike.

Local events you won't want to miss include Sounds of Jazz — an annual late-March festival featuring cool jazz with a riverside setting; Red, White & Boom! — the city's annal Fourth of July celebration that provides spectators with a jaw-dropping fireworks display; the annual Red Fish Challenge, held in early August; Festival of Lights — a holiday celebration featuring local musicians, Santa, & a huge Christmas tree in front of the Big John shopping center; and the annual Boat-a-Long wherein boats of all sizes are decorated with holiday lights and cruise into the southern canals, delighting shore-side spectators enroute.
