Council to discuss revised plans for the Yacht Club
Cape Coral residents will get a closer look at the city's redevelopment plans for the Yacht Club. Cape Coral City Council's Wednesday workshop will include updated plans complete with various renderings and an animation video. The revised master plan includes multiple expansions from the original. Those include the pool deck from 17,650 square feet to 57,575 square feet and expanded beach and park amenities from 165,475 square feet to 210,000 square feet. The Yacht Club Community Center had a 185% increase in usable space and 6% increase in footprint to 47,000 square feet and the parking deck went from 322 parking spaces – 39,425 square feet to 685 spaces – 72,980 square feet. The proposed vehicular parking also includes 15 surface spaces and 46 boat trailer spaces for a total of 746 total vehicular spaces.
